Dell is slowly adding new gaming monitors to its Alienware lineup for the holiday season, and the latest is the new Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor. Coming in at $600, the 27-inch display is a tad on the expensive side, but it comes with a complete design overhaul and some important gaming features.
The Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor runs at a 1080p Full HD resolution with a speedy 240Hz refresh rate. What's more, you'll also get support for AMD FreeSync, which will help to fend off screen tearing in your games when paired with a compatible AMD graphics card.
The display itself is an IPS panel, and Dell claims you'll get a "true" 1ms response time. Like the rest of Alienware's device lineup this year, the monitor has been overhauled with the company's new "Legend" design language. That includes a sleek, white exterior with three RGB lighting zones (logo, power button, and rear light strip).
As for ports, you're looking at two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.2, one USB 3.1 upstream, four USB 3.1 downstream, a headphone jack and one audio line-out jack.
The Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor is available to order now with a list price of $600. Currently, the monitor is on sale for $570.
The Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor packs a speedy 240Hz display, FreeSync, and a sleek new design.
