NetFront 3.4 Tech Preview Gets Secure
So NetFront for WM5 and WM6 Pro has released another version of their browser - although it's still at version 3.4, same as when they released it in January. What's new this time around is they've beefed up the security on the browser, adding AES and “Camellia, a high-security, high-performance international standard cipher jointly developed by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (NTT) and Mitsubishi Electric Corp.”
We here at the Smartphone Experts have been awfully hard on good old Access, especially in our Treo-focused TreoCast. It makes sense, though, as they burned Palm pretty badly. Now Access is trying to push their own linux-based Smartphone OS. They've got their work cut out for them in that space, what with Android coming in soon.
Our advice to Access - try to get a little bit more done in a year than adding some security to your browser, okay?
