More Xbox Game Studios titles like Killer Instinct verified for Steam Deck
There are several new verified titles, while others are just playable.
What you need to know
- More Xbox Game Studios titles have been verified for the Steam Deck.
- The list of verified games includes titles like Killer Instinct and Ori and the Blind Forest.
- Some games listed as playable include Gears Tactics and Minecraft Dungeons.
Several more Xbox Game Studios titles are verified for Steam Deck, expanding the roster of titles available to Steam Deck owners.
Microsoft shared the new list on Monday, while the list of games newly verified for Steam Deck includes Fable Anniversary, Halo Wars Definitive Edition, Kalimba, Killer Instinct, Ori and the Blind Forest, Halo: Spartan Strike, and Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure. Meanwhile, Deadlight, Gears Tactics, Halo: Spartan Assault and Minecraft Dungeons are considered playable.
There are four tiers of game compatibility for Steam Deck, as determined by Valve. Verified games are tested by Valve to work ostensibly without any issues. Playable games function but may require some tinkering. Unsupported games won't function for a wide variety of reasons. Finally, unknown games just haven't been tested yet.
Microsoft previously shared a list of verified games from across Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. That list was composed of verified titles like Psychonauts 2, as well as playable games such as Sea of Thieves.
Steam Deck units remain hard to get ahold of, though Valve is working to ramp up Steam Deck shipments, with more availability emails being sent out on a weekly basis.
