Monster Hunter: World Xbox One pre-load live, day one patch detailed

Monster Hunter: World is on track to make its Xbox One debut later this week, bringing its renowned beast-slaying gameplay to a new generation of consoles. Following the series' success across previous Sony and Nintendo platforms, this latest entry ups the scale and potential for its arrival on Microsoft's console family.

Ahead of the game's launch on January 26, Monster Hunter: World's pre-load is now rolling out on Xbox One. For those who digitally preordered via the integrated Microsoft Store, pre-loading saves time before launch, translating to more gaming upon release. Pre-load availability currently appears to vary, indicating the rollout is still underway between regions, though buyers are reporting 13.6 GB installs on their consoles.

Updated January 25, 2018: Xbox Support has taken to Twitter, claiming that Monster Hunter: World won't be available for pre-load on Xbox One. Many users are still reporting they have pre-loaded the title, however, a majority of players are yet to receive the 13.6GB download. It appears the rollout of this download has taken place on some consoles, though if you're yet to see it, you may be waiting some time.

With its release quickly closing in, Monster Hunter: World publisher, Capcom, has also detailed upcoming additions to the game for its day one update. Totalling 815 MB, the mandatory update brings Monster Hunter: World to version 1.01, while unlocking online systems, Gallery Mode and more.
