Minecraft Dungeons cross-play update coming later this year

Minecraft Dungeons can be played alone but seriously benefits from co-op fun. Today during Minecraft Live, the developers revealed that Minecraft Dungeons cross-play is coming later this year in a free update. This means players across Xbox One, PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch can all get in on the dungeon-crawling action together.

While there's no exact release date, the cross-play update is coming at some point in November, so players shouldn't be waiting too long. Minecraft Dungeons is also available to play via Xbox Cloud Gaming via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and even supports touch controls.

Minecraft Dungeons has continued to grow since launch, with the release of the Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter DLCs. More updates and endgame features are planned, as is future DLC. There's plenty of other news coming out of Minecraft Live, regardless of whether you enjoy Minecraft, such as the upcoming Caves and Cliffs update set to release in Summer 2021 or the Howling Peaks DLC for Minecraft Dungeons.
