Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Beta 1.17.30.22 has finally fixed an errant hotbar pixel and more
Putting the hotbar in its place
What you need to know
- Minecraft is a constantly evolving game, and Mojang Studios often tests future changes and updates through betas or snapshots.
- The latest Minecraft: Bedrock Edition beta is now available for Xbox, Windows, and Android devices, and includes lots of fixes.
- The biggest change here, at least for the Minecraft community, is that the hotbar is no longer misaligned by a single pixel.
- This beta is still built on 1.17 'Caves and Cliffs Update' Part One, and doesn't include any major new changes or experimental features.
Another week means another Minecraft beta, and Mojang Studios is delivering today with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Beta 1.17.30.22, which is now available for supported devices. While this is a beta for the massive Caves and Cliffs Update, it's still built on 1.17 Part One, so don't expect any significant additions or alterations here. Still, there's at least one thing to get excited for, at least for the devoted and detail-oriented members of the Minecraft community.

It's been recently brought to light that the hotbar for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is actually misaligned by a single pixel, a fact that nearly broke our own Jez Corden upon discovering. Fortunately, Mojang Studios recognized the egregious issue for what it was and immediately set out to fix it as soon as possible.
I just fixed a really old, really minor, yet really annoying bug in Bedrock. 10 Twitter points to the first person to spot it... 😉 pic.twitter.com/gOLhhO8poOI just fixed a really old, really minor, yet really annoying bug in Bedrock. 10 Twitter points to the first person to spot it... 😉 pic.twitter.com/gOLhhO8poO— David (@CornerHardMC) August 16, 2021August 16, 2021
The fix for the errant pixel is arriving in this Minecraft: Bedrock Edition beta, so the Minecraft community can collectively take a breath now. Of course, the gently askew hotbar was a minor aesthetic issue that didn't really affect anything, but it's still nice to see the detail rectified in this beta alongside the other, more major, improvements and bug fixes.
It's this attention to detail from Mojang Studios and the Minecraft community that has elevated it to the best Xbox games you can play, and we kept that same attitude when scouring the web for the absolute best Minecraft toys and gifts for any Minecraft fan.
