Microsoft recorded revenue growth of 9% year-over-year for its Surface device division in its fiscal year 2016 fourth quarter results. The revenue numbers went up to $965 million for the quarter.
Microsoft's numbers state that the growth was due to sales of its Surface Book notebook and its Surface Pro 4 tablet. As usual, Microsoft did not state how many units of its Surface devices were sold during the quarter. It should also be noted that the previous two fiscal quarters showed that the Surface division had revenues that were over $1 billion each.
