Microsoft launches the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in the UK

Microsoft today announced the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in the UK, with prices kicking off at just £99.99. The former is available today while the Lumia 640 XL is set to arrive later this month.

The new mid-range Windows Phones by Microsoft offer a complete mobile experience at an affordable price point. Specifications are similar for both handsets, aside from the screen and battery. The Lumia 640 has a 5-inch display, while the Lumia 640 XL sports the larger 5.7-inch option. The latter also comes packing a 13MP rear shooter and HD 5 MP wide angle front-facing camera.

Lumia 640 XL specifications:

Both Windows Phones will be eligible for Windows 10 for Phones once available. The Lumia 640 starts at £99.99 or £15.50 per month on contracts in the UK. The Lumia 640 XL will be available from £219 later this month.
