July's free Xbox Games with Gold feature Splinter Cell: Conviction and Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown

Today, Microsoft announced July's free Games with Gold for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. Starting on July 1, 2018, Assault Android Cactus and Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be free with the subscription. Then, on July 16, Xbox Live Gold members can download Death Squared and Splinter Cell: Conviction at no cost. Splinter Cell: Conviction and Virtua Fighter 5 are backward compatible so you can also play them on your Xbox One or Xbox One X with better performance.

Assault Android Cactus

Assault Android Cactus is an arcade-style twin-stick shooter. Players can choose from several unique heroes and blast their way through overwhelming mechanical hordes to save a ship.

Death Squared

Death Squared is a co-op puzzle game for up to four players. Each player needs to guide a robot to a colored goal. Unfortunately, the path is filled with deadly traps and hazards.

Splinter Cell: Conviction

Splinter Cell is a stealth series revolves around an operative named Sam Fisher. In Splinter Cell: Conviction however, all of the rules have changed, as the story takes a dramatic turn that shakes up the franchise. Fisher, now a renegade from the law and without his trusted bag of tools, must race against time to thwart a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions. You have to rely on instincts more than your gadgets.

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is the definitive version of the Virtua Fighter 5 series that incorporates all the enhancements Sega has rolled out since 2007. Better yet, there are also some new features which greatly improved gameplay.

Be sure to download all four of these games next month because many of them are great experiences. Out of all of these, we would recommend playing Splinter Cell: Conviction because it's an incredible title despite its slight camera issues.
