Huawei Ascend W2 Windows Phone gets certified for China Mobile
The Huawei Ascend W2 is heading to China and consumers at one step closer to getting their hands on the Windows Phone. The device has passed through checks in the country and will now be sold on China Mobile, tapping into a vast number of subscribers.
The budget Windows Phone, as revealed by specifications will reportedly be positioned as a low-end device on the Chinese network. Here's a quick reminder of what we're looking at here:
- 4.3-inch WVGA screen (800x480)
- Dual-core 1.4 Ghz processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 8GB of internal storage
- 134 x 66.7 x 9.9 mm dimensions
It'll be interesting to see how this new Windows Phone will be received by consumers, especially with fierce competition coming from Nokia. That said, it's great to see multiple OEMs help push Microsoft's platform forward.
