HP unveils Z displays with over 1 billion on-screen colors at Adobe MAX

HP announced several new displays at Adobe MAX 2020. The new displays include two DreamColor Displays and six Z Core displays. The DreamColor displays should be available in March 2021, starting at $599. The Z Core displays have release dates ranging from January 2021 to May 2021. The Z Core displays start at $239 and range up to $599.

The HP Z Core Displays are HP's premium line of monitors. They're aimed at everyone, from creative professionals to executives. They all feature thin bezels around all four sides and thin edges. They all also have a cable management ring on the back to organize and hide cables.

The HP Z Displays feature always-on low-blue-light while still delivering color accuracy, which is a first, according to HP. The lineup features a color accuracy of 99 percent sRGB and 85 percent DCI P3.

All of the displays from the HP Z lineup have USBC 100W power, support DisplayPort 1.4, and can daisy chain to other monitors.

There are six displays from the HP Z lineup, with the major differences between them being screen size and resolution. The HP Z24f G3 FHD Display ($239), HPZ24n G3 WUXGA Display ($299), and HP Z27q G3 QHD Display ($399) should arrive in January 2021. The HP Z27u G3 QHD Display ($449) and HP Z27k G3 4K Display ($599) should be available in March 2021. Lastly, the HP Z24u G3 WUXGA Display ($349) should be available in May 2021.

The HP DreamColor Displays are built for higher-end creative professionals. When making these displays, HP focuses on color accuracy, contrast, and catering the displays to creators. Every display from the DreamColor line is factorycolor calibrated, Pantone validated, and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified.

They are the first color-critical HDR monitors with one-touch brightness adjustment, according to HP. There's a toggle on the side of the display that allows you to adjust the brightness of the display.
