How to set up and use Xbox Chatpad on Windows 10 PCs

The Xbox Chatpad is the best typing accessory for Xbox One on the market, but a little-known fact is that it also works for Windows 10 gaming whenever you connect your Xbox One controller to your PC. Though it doesn't work straight out of the box, the steps in order to get it working are a breeze. Here's how to set it up.

Getting your controller connected

  1. Plug the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 into any open USB port on your Windows 10 computer.
  2. Press the connect button on the end of the Xbox Wireless Adapter.
  3. Power your Xbox Wireless Controller up by holding down the Xbox home button.
  4. Press the connect button on the back of the controller. This is the small, circular button between the triggers.
