Outriders, the new action RPG from People Can Fly and Square Enix, has been gaining fans and attention as it heads towards launch on April 1.

Not every part of the demo is enjoyable, however. The camera and visuals are a particular pain point for some. The game employs motion blur to add to the effects, and while some enjoy it, many others do not.

The thing to do then, if you're not a fan, is to disable it. But on that front, there is bad news followed by good news.

How to disable motion blur in Outriders

If you want to disable motion blur in the Outriders demo, the bad news is that you can't. There's currently no option to do this, so for now, you're stuck with it.

The good news is that it won't be like this in the final release. The dev team has been listening and responding to community feedback, and motion blur will have a toggle to disable in the full game.

The toggle will be found in the in-game settings menu, either under the display or gameplay options, most likely.

Disabling motion blur will mean that when you're sprinting, the image will remain sharp. You will lose the sensation of speed, but if you simply don't like the effect, at least you can make it go away.

Outriders is slated to launch on April 1 on Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and Google Stadia.
