High-end Surface Laptop now set to start shipping on June 30

If you're looking to get your hands on the new Surface Laptop with maxed-out specs, it looks like you won't have to wait quite as long as originally anticipated. The high-end model with an Intel Core i7 processor, 1TB of storage, and 16GB of RAM was originally set to ship on August 15, but shipping dates have now moved up to June 30.

Surface Laptop is available for preorder now through the Microsoft Store in six configurations, starting with the $999 Intel Core i5 model with 4GB of RAM.

Update: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported it as the Surface Pro, but it's the Surface Laptop that is shipping earlier.
