Amazon Big Deal Days — What you need to know about October Prime Day
Prime Day is returning one more time in October.
Amazon's Prime Day in July brought us countless deals on Windows laptops, desktop PCs and upgrades, accessories, games, and more. But Amazon isn't yet done slashing prices in 2024.
Amazon's October Prime Day — otherwise known as Prime Big Deal Days — begins on Tuesday, October 8, and runs until Wednesday, October 9. As with Prime Day in July you're getting just two official days to shop at a discount, though as we've seen in the past the sales started weeks ahead of the October event.
Amazon has confirmed a list of countries participating in Prime Big Deal Days, and it has laid out the membership requirements for those hoping to land the best savings. The team at Windows Central has been covering Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days since their inception, and we're used to digging up the specifics and finding genuine savings that aren't artificially reduced fakes.
Some of our favorite tech of the year is expected to go on sale, and we'll be backing up our recommendations with reviews, opinions, and expertise from each member of the Windows Central team.

When is Prime Big Deal Days happening?
Amazon's October Prime Day starts at 12 AM PDT on Tuesday, October 8. It will run for 48 hours, wrapping up on October 9. If you have any Alexa-compatible hardware, you can say, "Alexa, set a reminder for Prime Big Deal Days" to have Amazon create a reminder for the event.
However, you don't have to wait until the official Prime Big Deal Days kickoff to start saving. Prime members can already find exclusive deals on a wide range of categories, including some of our favorite tech as well as Amazon's own Fire and Echo hardware.
Which countries are taking part in Big Deal Days?
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the US, and the UK will all take part in Prime Big Deal Days in 2024 via their respective storefronts. Japan will have its own Big Deal Days later in October. China is notably missing from this year's list of participating countries.
If your country doesn't have its own localized version of Amazon, you may still be able to make purchases from a neighboring variant, but usual restrictions likely apply, so check your local Amazon international shipping terms and conditions.

Yes, you need a Prime membership. Prime Big Deal Days is an exclusive sales event just like Prime Day before it and Prime Early Access Sale before that.
If you're not already a member, you'll need to sign up for Amazon Prime for $14.99 per month or $139 annually (plus tax) to qualify for discounts. For new users, a 30-day trial of Prime is the perfect way to take advantage since you're free to cancel your subscription after the event.
A Prime membership gets you fast and free shipping, discounts on groceries, access to video and music streaming services, games and streaming perks, and a lot more.
