Halo Infinite's Craig just got the biggest glow up of 2021
The definition of "Chad."
Halo developer 343 Industries recently released a brand new Halo Infinite campaign gameplay overview video, and in it, fans got a closer look at Halo Infinite's "Craig" — a silly nickname for a Brute who got thwacked by Master Chief's melee attacks during the game's original 2020 gameplay reveal.
Back then, Halo Infinite looked pretty rough, and the Brute's lack of details and goofy facial expression led to an image of him circulating throughout the internet rapidly. In the blink of an eye, Halo Infinite's Craig became one of the spiciest memes, and he has remained popular ever since. 343 Industries even embraced the joke, often referencing Craig in official developer communiqués while the studio worked to improve Halo Infinite's visuals.
In the new campaign overview video, fans got to see Halo Infinite's new-and-improved graphics, including new details for the game's Brutes. Like the 2020 reveal, the new footage showed a "Craig" Brute getting pummeled by Master Chief. This time, though, Craig is sporting significantly more detail on his skin, a snazzy beard, and a fashionable tuft of hair on his head.
He is, as they say, a handsome lad — but he isn't the only one. Throughout the video, multiple Brutes with several facial expressions and various types of beards and hairstyles were shown off, which shows just how much time and effort 343 Industries put into giving the Banished's rank-and-file troops plenty of variety. Overall, it's great to see Craig get such an awesome glow up, and it's great that all of his brothers-in-arms are looking fine, too.
The Halo Infinite campaign is slated to release alongside the game's free-to-play multiplayer for $60 on Dec. 8, 2021. Unlike previous Halo campaigns, Halo Infinite's is designed to be non-linear and open, with plenty of dynamic sandbox features like a day/night cycle, enemy patrols, side missions, and more. Based on everything we've seen so far, there's a serious chance that Halo Infinite could end up being one of the best Xbox games ever. The game will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows PCs.
The next big adventure
Halo Infinite will hopefully be an incredible game filled with wonder, adventure, and more. Based on the beta and what was seen in the new campaign overview, the game looks incredible.
