Halo Infinite Season 2 is adding two new maps to the fray, as well as the aforementioned host of new gameplay modes. You can watch the gameplay overview trailer below:
In a blog post, 343 Industries confirmed that King of the Hill and Last Spartan Standing will be added to the playlists on day one of the new season. Meanwhile, Land Grab is being introduced through the Fracture: Entrenched seasonal event, which will be around a month after Season 2 begins. Once the event ends, Land Grab will stay.
Last Spartan Standing, a completely new mode to the Halo franchise, pits 12 players against each other in a free-for-all on a Big Team Battle map. As players earn kills, they earn points that can be redeemed for better weapons. Each player has five lives. Meanwhile, Land Grab is similar to Strongholds, but with some twists: Once a team grabs a zone, it's locked in and earns a point. First team to 11 points wins.
Halo Infinite Season 2 is scheduled to begin on May 3, 2022. The long-awaited Halo Infinite campaign co-op, while not arriving at the start of the season, is still currently slated to arrive sometime during Season 2.
