Halo 5 to get content browser for Forge editor on Windows 10 and Xbox One
343 Industries will release a new content browser for the Forge editor in Halo 5: Guardians for Windows 10 and Xbox One.
The content browser was revealed as part of the Halo panel at the RTX gaming event this past weekend in Austin, Texas. A screenshot of the browser was also posted on the official Halo Twitter account. It will allow for Forge creators on both platforms to quickly share content like maps, custom game modes with other players.
Microsoft and 343 already announced plans to release a free version of Halo 5's Forge editor for Windows 10 PC users in the Windows Store. It will also allow PC players to participate in Halo 5 multiplayer games with their friends, but there will not be any matchmaking features. The Forge editor will be released in Windows 10, with the new Content Browser, later this fall, and will be introduced as a free update for the Xbox One version at around the same time.
