What you need to know

  • Halo 4 is the final game in Halo: The Master Chief Collection not currently available on PC.
  • 343 Industries announced today that Halo 4 releases on PC on November 17.
  • The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S optimization patch also releases on November 17.

Halo 4 is the final entry of Halo: The Master Chief Collection that hasn't yet come to PC but players won't be waiting too much longer. 343 Industries revealed today that Halo 4 releases on PC on November 17.

This isn't the end of new things coming to The Master Chief Collection however, as 343 Industries is testing features like crossplay, new armor permutations, cosmetics and more.

November 17 is the same day that Halo: The Master Chief Collection becomes optimized for Xbox Series X and S, adding 120 FPS support and an FOV slider to the next-generation platform versions. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are set to release on November 10, so players will only be waiting a week for this upgrade.

This will be the final Halo title currently planned to arrive on PC until Halo Infinite comes sometime in 2021, unless 343 Industries decides to bring over Halo 5: Guardians to PC. There's a lot of questions around the next major entry in the Halo franchise, which is introducing new features like armor coatings.
