What you need to know
- The August flight for Halo 3: ODST on PC and Xbox One has begun.
- Invites have gone out to members of the Halo Insider Program.
- You'll need to check your Halo Waypoint messages and notifications to see if you've been invited.
As shared on Twitter by Tyler Davis from 343 Industries, the August flight for Halo 3: ODST has begun on PC and Xbox One. Invites have gone out, so you'll want to check your messages on Halo Waypoint to see if you've been invited.
Anyone in the test will be able to check out large chunks of the game's campaign and Firefight mode. Players can also check out the new cosmetics coming to Halo 3 within The Master Chief Collection. While Halo 3: ODST is already available on the Xbox One version of The Master Chief Collection, Firefight mode is finally being tested for addition. If you aren't currently signed up but want to participate in future flight tests, you should sign up for the Halo Insider Program.
After Halo 3: ODST, the final game in the collection is Halo 4, with Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3 already added. The next big title, Halo Infinite, was recently delayed to some point in 2021, so hopefully going through Halo 3: ODST on PC for the first time and enjoying the addition of Firefight mode eases the wait a little bit.
