Gears Tactics is a departure from the mainline Gears games in a lot of ways, but it retains the cover-based, hardcore combat fans have known for years. Ahead of the game's launch, The Coalition and Splash Damage have released a new launch trailer, showing an overview of what players can expect. You can check out the trailer below.
The story of Gears Tactics is set years before the original game, as players control Gabe Diaz (father of Gears 5 protagonist Kait Diaz) as he puts together a squad to hunt down Ukkon, the Locust scientist breeding monsters. Gears Tactics is set to release on PC through Steam and Xbox Game Pass for PC on April 28, 2020. It's coming to Xbox sometime later this year.
