Gears Tactics hero Gabe Diaz is coming to Gears 5
The Diaz family is crossing generations.
What you need to know
- Gears 5 released in September 2019 and will Xbox Series X and S Optimized.
- Gears Tactics released on PC earlier in April 2020 and is coming to Xbox consoles on November 10, 2020.
- Gabe Diaz, the main character of Gears Tactics, is coming to Gears 5.
- Players need to complete the Gears Tactics tutorial to unlock Gabe Diaz in Gears 5.
Gears Tactics is currently available on PC and is launching for Xbox consoles alongside the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 10. To celebrate, The Coalition announced today during a RazerCon presentation that Gears Tactics hero Gabe Diaz is coming to Gears 5.
In order to unlock him, players will need to finish the Gears Tactics tutorial mission on any platform. They'll then receive the Armored Gabe character skin. Gabe Diaz may have other alternate skins to unlock as well but at this time, the Armored base skin is all we know of.
Gears 5 first released in September 2019 and since launch, The Coalition has worked to add new maps, modes and characters, with Minh and Sam recently added. Gears 5 will be Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Optimized, adding new particle effects and 120 FPS support in multiplayer. Gears Tactics is also optimized for Microsoft's next-gen machines, running at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X.
Like all Xbox Game Studios titles, Gears Tactics is also launching for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One consoles through Xbox Game Pass.
