Gears 5 Operation 4 trailer shows six new characters, three maps and more
The biggest wave of new characters yet.

- Gears 5 first released in 2019.
- Since then, The Coalition has released several content updates, adding new characters and maps.
- The latest update, Operation 4: Brothers in Arms, is adding six characters, including Dominic Santiago.
- There's a trailer showing everything this update has added.
The Coalition previously announced that Dom was making his debut Gears 5 Operation 4: Brothers in Arms. Now, Operation 4 has launched and Dom isn't alone: six characters have been added in this update, alongside three maps, a new Ranked system and more. You can check out the trailer below.
Operation 4 has also introduced a new way to unlock characters. Now, if you unlock a character's skin, you'll also unlock that character and immediately be able to use them. Here's the full list of new characters:
- Dominic Santiago
- Garron Paduk
- Jinn-bot
- UIR Soldier
- Zamil Karn
- Locust Grenadier
In addition to all this, there's new Achievements to earn and some bug fixes for a smoother gameplay experience. Level Six skill cards have also been introduced, so there's a ton to go through in both PvP and PvE.
Gears 5 will be Xbox Series X Optimized when the Xbox Series X launches, with better textures, effects and a possible 120 FPS mode. The Xbox Series X is expected to launch at some point in Holiday 2020.
