What you need to know

  • Forza Horizon 5 is only days away, with early access kicking off on Nov. 5 (and a full release on Nov. 9).
  • Before the game drops, Xbox has released a new live-action trailer for Forza Horizon 5 called "The Getaway Driver."
  • The dramatic trailer is packed with light-hearted action, over-the-top cinematic shots and landscapes, and more.
  • Forza Horizon 5 will let players do exactly what they want to do, in hundreds of the world's greatest cars.

We officially have less than a week before some players will be able to play Forza Horizon 5, which aims to be one of the best Xbox racing games around. Ahead of that fated release, Xbox and Playground Games have released a brand-new trailer for FH5, this time as a live-action starring real people and places. The trailer stars a getaway driver that doesn't find their life to be that interesting, until they're taken on an insane adventure across Mexico with lots of speeds, jumps, and dramatic camera angles.

The live-action trailer is a fun entry into Forza Horizon 5's official launch week (for those with early access), and paves the way for Playground's most ambitious title yet. When FH5 releases, it'll feature a diverse map set in Mexico, with hundreds of cars from all over the world. It's the most ambitious Forza Horizon title yet, and our Forza Horizon 5 preview showed it has what it takes to deliver on those promises.

Forza Horizon 5 releases on Nov. 9, 2021 for most people, but releases four days early for those with early access. You can now preorder Forza Horizon 5 or the Premium Add-Ons Bundle if you want to jump into FH5 early. Also, be sure to check the FH5 launch times and how to preload to leap into Forza Horizon 5 as early as possible.
