Forza Horizon 5 secures a new hotfix update with PC fixes and a Festival Playlist change
Forza Horizon 5 is enjoying some minor improvements on Wednesday.
What you need to know
- Forza Horizon 5 is a live service open-world racing game from Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios.
- On Wednesday, the team began rolling out the Feb. 16, 2022 hotfix update for FH5 on all platforms.
- The hotfix only includes a handful of fixes for PC, a specific Car Pass car, and the Festival Playlist.
Forza Horizon 5 has amassed a sizeable following of players since its release, and enjoys a spot among the best games released in 2021. The game intends to continually improve over time with new content and improvements, culminating in the new hotfix update rolling out to players on every FH5 platform today.
Forza Horizon 5 still carries its fair share of issues, but Playground Games has been chipping away at the pile with every subsequent release. On Wednesday, the studio began to release the Feb. 16, 2022 hotfix update, which includes only a couple of fixes for the ambitious open-world racer.
The update is nowhere near the scale of the previously released Forza Horizon 5 Feb. 1, 2022 patch update, but still includes a few decent improvements. PC players should experience fewer crashes, the Car Pass 2018 Audi TT RS is finally fixing its issue with the Sport Bumper upgrade disappearing, and the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist is apparently getting some balancing updates for the ongoing Horizon World Cup.
The latest FH5 hotfix update may take some time to surface on your specific platform, but will eventually affect everywhere Forza Horizon 5 is available, including Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Despite its numerous issues, Forza Horizon 5 is still solidly one of the best Xbox racing games you can play right now. In our Forza Horizon 5 review, we dubbed it the "unchallenged champion of open-world racers."
