Is the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass DLC worth it?
Is the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass DLC worth it?
Fill your garage with cars
Forza Horizon 5 is a gargantuan open-world racing game that combines a gorgeous world with a car list measuring in the hundreds. For many players, the pre-existing car list includes bountiful vehicle selections, and Playground Games continues to add to the list with free additions through the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist. Still, avid Forza Horizon players can invest in the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass DLC to add even more cars to their garage, with a new car added every week.
In total, the FH5 Car Pass will add 42 brand-new cars to Forza Horizon 5, all of which spread across a wide range of model years, manufacturers, type, and more. There are some incredibly rare and beautiful cars included in the list, and more are revealed every Series update. For car collectors, this DLC is a must-have, and is a decent value for the number of cars you ultimately get in the DLC.
However, bear in mind that not all 42 cars are included immediately. The Car Pass DLC launched with eight cars available immediately, and has added a new car every week since. The DLC will continue to add a new car every week until it includes all 42 promised cars. This means players purchasing the DLC won't get the full value right away, and it also means we currently don't know what each car will be in the DLC. Specific cars available through the Car Pass, including the full Formula Drift Cars Pack DLC, also become available for purchase individually, for those only interested in certain vehicles.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle, while certainly more expensive than the Car Pass by itself, includes a huge amount of additional content and DLC for Forza Horizon 5. If you're dedicated to getting the most out of FH5, this DLC bundle is hands-down the best value for any player, especially those enjoying the game through Xbox Game Pass.

Sweet car additions
The Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass adds a ton of new cars to the already-impressive FH5 car list, and is the ultimate add-on for avid car collectors and completionists. Still, the Car Pass features a high price tag when compared to the overwhelming value of the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, which includes the Car Pass and much more for Forza Horizon 5.
