Forza Horizon 3 crosses 9 million players on Xbox One and PC
Forza Horizon 3 is even more popular than expected.
Yesterday was quite an eventful day for Playground Games. Not only did Phil Spencer announce that the team was joining Microsoft Studios, but the reveal of the new Forza Horizon 4 blew gamers away with its seasons and shared open-world vision.
Forza Horizon 3 is the highest-rated Microsoft game of the current generation and has garnered numerous accolades since launch. However, how many gamers have had the chance to try it out? An interview between IGN and Ralph Fulton, Creative Director of Playground Games, revealed just that.
When asked about the success the studio has had with Forza Horizon 3, Fulton replied with the following statement.
Nine million players is truly an astonishing figure and hopefully the team will experience even more success in the future. Keep in mind that this is a player count and shouldn't be equated to sales figures.
If you're looking for a thrilling open-world racing game, be sure to give Forza Horizon 3 a go. In our review we said that "this is the biggest Forza Horizon to date and it's not just the best Forza game, it's one of the best games you can buy on the Xbox One. Playground Games outdid itself...and Microsoft has something truly spectacular here. The appeal of Horizon is wider than a circuit based racer, and this massive, glorious representation of Australia is something to behold. It is truly a work of art."
