What you need to know

  • The Silence and the Fury is the final DLC pack for Total War: Warhammer 2.
  • This DLC brings new Legendary Lords, heroes, units and gameplay mechanics for the Lizardmen and Beastmen.
  • It's set to be available on July 14, 2021.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is on the way but the developers at Creative Assembly have one last hurrah planned for its predecessor, Total War: Warhammer 2. A new DLC pack called The Silence and the Fury is on the way, with a new trailer today providing further ideas of what players can expect.

The DLC focuses on new lords and units for the Lizardmen and Beastmen factions, with the latter getting an accompanying much-needed overhaul. The Lizardmen are getting Oxyotl as a Legendary Lord, alongside Chameleon Stalkers, Coatl flyers and Troglodons. The Beastmen are led by Taurox the Brass Bull, with the monstrous Ghorgons and Jabberslythes reinforcing their feral ranks.

The Silence and the Fury is currently scheduled to be available on July 14 for $10, with a 10% discount for anyone who preorders the pack. A free update will be coming at the same time as this DLC, with Creative Assembly saying more details will be shared soon on just what the update entails.

Total War: Warhammer 3 will exchange the lush jungles of Lustria and jagged peaks of Naggaroth for the Chaos Wastes, as well as the previously unseen empire of Grand Cathay. The developers at Creative Assembly are working closely with Games Workshop to realize this never-before-represented faction, a move that may finally realize the vision of the tabletop game. Total War: Warhammer 3 is scheduled for release at some point in Late 2021 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
