Feeling the need for speed? Give Speed Tunnel a try
Speed Tunnel is a fast paced, somewhat challenging, nicely animated game for your Windows Phone. The goal is simple, race as far as you can through the tunnel and avoid crashing into the various obstacles along the way.
To help you along the way there are bonus items you can collect and a energy canon to destroy the obstacles. There's really not much to Speed Tunnel but if you're feeling the need for speed, it is definitely worth a try.
The main menu for Speed Tunnel offers you the options to play the game, view what each pick-up/bonus item does, view the hi-score, how-to, and about screens, and access the game's options. Speed Tunnel's options cover sounds/music on/off, vibration controls, canon fire and jump control layout, adjustments to tilt sensitivity levels and auto download new levels.
The game screen itself has controls to fire your energy canon and jump in the upper left and right corners. Your gaming stats are displayed along the left side of the screen and include speed, energy, distance, level and damage.
The game itself has you racing through a tunnel, collecting bonus items and avoiding obstacles. You can fire your energy canon to destroy the obstacles or use the jump button to jump over some of them. Just be careful in using the energy canon in that you have a limited supply of energy to use. You can find energy units lying around the tunnel to replenish but use the canon modestly.
Steering is done by tilting your Windows Phone left or right and you can travel across the full 360 degrees of the tunnel's interior.
As you travel further, you will progress through the levels of play. The higher the level, the more challenging things become. Hit an obstacle and your ship will get damaged. Sustain enough damage and the game's over.

Speed Tunnel reminds me of the racing through wormholes out of an old Sci-Fi t.v. show or movie. Speed Tunnel doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but it's a fun game to pass the time with.
There is a free trial version for Speed Tunnel to let you try things out before buying. The full version is currently running $.99 and you can find Speed Tunnel here at the Windows Phone Store.
