Every AAA Xbox One game released in 2019 (so far)
Games made by AAA developers are among the best experiences available on Xbox One, and there hasn't been any shortage of AAA titles in 2019. However, it can be hard to keep track of game releases, especially since so many smaller games and indie titles come out daily. Fear not — we've compiled a list of every AAA game that has come this year on Xbox One.
Aerial dogfighting
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is the latest title in the famous Ace Combat dogfighting franchise, offering refined gameplay mechanics, gorgeous visuals and sound, and modes for both singleplayer and multiplayer fans.
Classic horror reimagined
Resident Evil 2 is a reimagination of the famed horror game from 1998, featuring fantastic new graphics, improved gameplay mechanics, and even some brand new content that adds twists to the story and overall experience.
Long-awaited sequel
At long last, Kingdom Hearts III has finally arrived, with Sora and company embarking on a bold new role-playing adventure that spans across several iconic Pixar and Disney worlds.
Titanfall battle royale
Apex Legends, a free teamwork-focused battle royale title, represents a new direction for the team behind the Titanfall franchise, featuring fluid movement abilities, satisfying combat mechanics, and plenty of cosmetic items to chase.
Chaotic action
Crackdown 3 is the latest entry in the chaotic mobility and explosives-driven franchise, offering players tons of fast-paced, action-packed gameplay in both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer deathmatch mode.
Open-world fun
Far Cry New Dawn is the most recent Far Cry title, offering a wide open-world to explore and numerous engaging activities to complete across the wasteland of post-nuclear Hope County.
Sci-fi looter shooter
Anthem is the latest game from developer BioWare, featuring four different classes of large mech-suits to pilot and plenty of loot to earn as you fight your way through a hostile alien world.
Hack-and-slash mayhem
Devil May Cry 5 is a fast-paced action game that perfectly nails hack-and-clash gameplay. You'll have a blast slicing your way through all of the devils and demons the game throws your way.
Save Washington D.C.
The Division 2 is a modern-day looter shooter that takes place within Washington D.C., and it's up to you to use your wide array of firearms to try and stop various criminal organizations from gaining control of the city.
Difficult and engaging
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a difficult and engaging action game that will test your wit, patience, and fortitude as you battle your way through the game's unforgiving, menacing foes.
If we had to choose
All of these different AAA releases are great in their own way, and each game offers something that the competition does not. However, if I had to personally recommend a game to buy it would be Metro Exodus. I think that it's the best game of 2019 so far thanks to its excellent story, engaging and tense gameplay, and expertly-crafted atmosphere.
Fans who are looking for something extremely fast-paced and with tons of explosive action should check out Crackdown 3 and its combination of high-mobility movement style with a wide open, destruction-focused sandbox. Gamers that want something slower, methodical, and challenging will love Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as it will require you to be patient, clever, and cunning in order to succeed against its brutally difficult enemies.
