Everspace runs at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X, features 1080p 60 FPS mode
Rockfish Games says the console version of Everspace will look the best on Microsoft's new machine.
According to developer Rockfish Games, Everspace is getting an Xbox One X upgrade in the coming days. However, what upgrades does the patch bring to the table? Luckily, an interview between the studio and WCCFtech revealed the answer.
When asked about Everspace running on an Xbox One X compared to the PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro), head of Rockfish Michael Schade provided more details. The game runs at native 4K 30 FPS on Xbox One X and checkerboarded 4K 30 FPS on PS4 Pro. However, the title also features a 60 FPS mode on both consoles, but the Xbox One X version features higher quality scenes even at 1080p. The Xbox One X should have the clearest picture as checkerboard rendering introduces numerous artifacts which detract from image quality.
Everspace is an action-focused single-player space shooter, combining roguelike elements with "AAA" visuals and an intriguing story. It takes you on a challenging journey through an ever-changing universe full of surprises. Your skills, experience and talent for improvisation will be tested continuously as you piece together the puzzle of your existence through encounters with interesting characters, each having their own unique part to tell. Death is inevitable but you become stronger every time you're killed.
