ESPNcricinfo for Windows Phone updated after two years for the latest in cricket news

If you enjoy the game of cricket, and are also a fan of ESPN, you haven't been well served by the Windows Phone ESPNcricinfo app. That might be changing, as the app finally received a update to version 3.0, which is the apps first update in two years.

Here's what's new in the app, which oddly states that it has a "World Cup 2015 section", even though the tournament is now over for this year:

  • World Cup 2015 section with all the coverage you need
  • Player profile page to view player information
  • Graphs for Scorecard
  • Commentary feedback in matches to send us your comments
  • Numerous performance improvements
  • Bug fixes

While its a welcome change, it remains to be seen if this app will continue to be updated. Perhaps Microsoft CEO, and well-known cricket fan, Satya Nadella can put some pressure on ESPN to keep updating the app.

Thanks to Arpit for the tip!
