As you may recall, last month AdDuplex launched a new promotional campaign, the HERO Apps program, for Windows Phone and Windows developers. The program partners AdDuplex with myAppFree, AppDeals, PluralSight and Windows Central to deliver a host of benefits to the top apps and games each month on the AdDuplex Network.
Throughout the month, Windows Central will showcase the top HERO apps. We have already checked out Mirror Cam and today we turn our sights towards the Windows Phone app Elements: The Periodic Table from Naveen CS.
It is a reference app for our Windows Phone that delivers lists of properties for all the chemical elements. Elements: The Periodic Table may not be everyone's cup of tea but if you are in need of the means to quickly reference the Periodic Table, it's worth a look.
There isn't much to Elements: The Periodic Table and that is not necessarily a bad thing. The app opens up to the traditional Periodic Table with the elements color coded by type. You do have the option to switch to an alphabetical listing of the elements and pull up a comparison chart with the two control buttons that are at the bottom of the screen.
Tapping on an individual element will pull up a series of information pages on that element, which includes:
- History
- Properties
- Applications for the element
- Related images along with related links on the element
The app does lack the ability to share the information and the Periodic Table can only be viewed in portrait orientation. Neither are deal breakers and to rotate the table into landscape mode (to view the full table at once) may make the individual tiles too small.
Overall, Elements: The Periodic Table is a simple but effective Windows Phone app for learning all about the elements. The app is ad-supported with the option to remove the ad banners through a $.99 in-app purchase. The app is also available in the Windows Store as well.

AdDuplex HERO Promotion
