Elden Ring is shaping up as one of 2022's most anticipated video game releases, as the latest franchise from legendary developer FromSoftware. The illusive project comes from the creators of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, with high expectations for its latest action RPG. And with Elden Ring slated to hit consoles and PC on Feb. 25, Amazon UK now has an unexpected last-minute preorder discount.

Amazon UK now offers a 25% saving on Elden Ring Launch Edition, a limited-edition package for early adopters. While it's unusual to see heavy discounts on preorders, that's especially true for what's shaping up as one of 2022's biggest releases. The deal applies to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC copies, with a free next-gen upgrade also available for all console copies.

Elden Ring Launch Edition includes bonuses over standard copies, including exclusive art cards, a poster, a woven patch, and stickers, drawing inspiration from its fantasy setting. Preorders also get a digital adventure guide and an in-game gesture, dubbed "The Ring."

FromSoftware's upcoming project remains shrouded in mystery, claiming our most anticipated game award in late 2021. It's headed by renowned director Hidetaka Miyazaki, boasting a rich supporting world, onboarding aid from George R. R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame. It looks to join the best games on Xbox and PlayStation in 2022, with an outstanding past portfolio.

While Elden Ring looks to retail for £60 in the UK, this latest Amazon deal is a great opportunity to save before launch. It also comes with the retailer's preorder guarantee, meaning you're guaranteed to pay the lowest possible price upon release.
