Upcoming Xbox One game Dying Light grabs a prequel novel
With zombie survival game Dying Light releasing in just under two weeks for Xbox One, Techland announced today the game's tie-in novel. You can also get your hands on a cool zombie from the game!
Dying Light: Nightmare Row, is the prequel novel to the upcoming game Dying Light. The book is penned by James Bond writer Raymond Benson and takes readers through the days prior of the outbreak in the city of Harran. Here's the official statement from Techland on the novel's plot:
Pricing and availability of the novel have yet to be announced.
For those eager to play the game when it launches in two weeks, Techland has launched Harran-City.com as the official website of the Dying Light city. The website has been "hacked" from the inside, and it allows you to navigate the site to see the zombie outbreak as it unfolds. Players can also begin to piece together the viral outbreak story and other in-game elements that have yet to be revealed as they explore the site.
3D Printed Zombies
Techland also released a downloadable Zombie 3D figure (which you can download here) for you to create with your 3D printer (because we all have one of those lying around) and paint whichever way you see fit. If you need inspiration on how to paint your zombie, you can head here to watch one of the artists of the game give life to his undead statue.
Dying Light is a first-person open world survival horror game that will have players scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to defend yourself from the infected that has taken over the city of Harran. The game launches on January 27 and is now available for pre-order and pre-download for Xbox One.
