Duke Nukem-like 'Ion Fury' launches on Xbox One
Get it right now!
At Windows Central, we always try to bring you news of exciting upcoming or recently-released games. Today, we're going to talk about Ion Fury. Ion Fury is a lot like Duke Nukem and other titles like William Shatner's TekWar that launched in 1995. According to publisher 1C Online Games, Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison takes on a quest to slay evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel in the streets of Neo D.C. She leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge levels filled with gigantic explosions, secret areas, and inhuman foes behind every corner.
Basically what that means is your goal is to go around shooting everything in sight. We've been doing that and hope that and so far, the approach has worked well. However, that's not the best part of the game. There are no required checkpoints and straight paths. You can sort of go where you want and approach the game however you want.
Ion Fury is available right now for $25. Even though the graphics are pixelated, it runs at 4K resolution on Xbox One X. Be sure to pick this one up if you like old-school shooters!
Shoot everything in sight
Ion Fury is a true old-school first-person shooter from legendary 3D Realms, publisher 1C Entertainment, and indie studio Voidpoint, set in a cyberpunk metropole. Blast your way through enemies like it's 1990s again!
