At Windows Central, we always try to bring you news about exciting upcoming games. Today, we're going to be talking about a retro first-person shooter called Project Warlock that just launched on Xbox One. According to Jez Corden's preview, "The game is as rapid as any modern Doom-style shooter, with a satisfying flow of strafe-and-shoot, as you wind around hunting down health kits and ammo. There are tons of secrets to uncover throughout levels, too, hidden behind destructible walls or secret switches, giving you additional consumables or experience items, which you can use to enhance your character."
Project Warlock is already available on PC and gamers absolutely love it. You can check out the bombastic trailer below. The Xbox One port costs just $15 so it's a great deal.
One man and his guns. Become a mysterious Warlock who embarks onto a dangerous mission to eradicate all evil. Put your finger on the trigger and travel through time and space to wreak havoc like in the golden days of fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping first-person shooters, hooking you for hours of super fun carnage. Explore 60 vast levels in five settings, from a frozen Antarctic base to the sands of Egypt to the medieval castles' courts and graveyards. Find keys to unlock passages, reveal secret caches, and use lifts and hidden buttons to access new areas. Finally descend to hell to face the ultimate challenge and emerge victorious.
