DOOM closed multiplayer beta test starts the fragging on March 31 for Xbox One and PC

As we get closer to DOOM's May 13 release date, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks will run a closed multiplayer beta test for the upcoming reboot of the first person shooter franchise from March 31 to April 3 on the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
People who digitally pre-ordered or ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order prior to May 26, 2014 will be able to join the closed beta test for DOOM, along with people who bought the physical version of Wolfenstein: The New Order and got a DOOM beta code. Here's what will be included in the multiplayer test.
- Maps: Heatwave and Infernal
- Game Modes: 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath
- Demon: Revenant
- Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun
- Power Weapons: Gauss Cannon
- Equipment: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Siphon Grenade
If you are running a PC, you will download your DOOM closed beta test via Steam. Here is what your PC will need to run the beta:
Minimal requirements:
- Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
- Intel Core i5-2400 or better / AMD FX-8320 or better
- 8GB RAM
- 720p
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2GB) or better / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB) or better
- Up to 22GB HDD space
- Steam account
- Broadband internet connection
Recommended specs:
- Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
- Intel Core i7-3770 or better / AMD FX-8350 or better
- 8GB RAM
- 1080p
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) or better / AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB) or better

- Steam account
- Broadband internet connection
The closed beta of DOOM won't contain any of the game's single player content, nor the Snapmap mod tools.
