Does Microsoft Surface Pro 7 support Mini DisplayPort?
Modern connections
The Surface Pro 7 does not have a Mini DisplayPort. Microsoft decided to swap out the older Mini DisplayPort for the more modern USB-C. The USB-C port of the Surface Pro 7 supports USB-C 3.1 connectivity. That means that the Surface Pro 7 can connect to two 4K displays at 60Hz with a single port.
The Surface Pro 7 also has a Surface Connect port. This port does many of the same things as a USB-C port but isn't as universal. But it's good to have an as an option, especially if your office setup already relies on the Surface Connect port.
Grab a dongle
While the Surface Pro 7 has a USB-C port and a Surface Connect port, you may need to use a Mini DisplayPort. It may be an older connection, but it's still used in many corporate environments.
