Does LG gram 17's camera support Windows Hello?
What is Windows Hello?
Windows Hello is Microsoft's biometric security system that's built into Windows 10. It allows users to use either facial recognition or fingerprint scans to log into their computers, instead of a traditional password. This is a nifty feature for folks who hate having to remember their login information or simply just like the added convenience.
Does the LG gram 17 camera work with Windows Hello?
Unfortunately, the camera on the new LG gram 17 laptop does not come with Windows Hello support, which means that you won't be able to use facial recognition to unlock the device. However, there is a bright side — the laptop does come with built-in sensors that can read your fingerprints, meaning you'll at least be able to utilize Windows Hello in some capacity. While fingerprint reading isn't as convenient as facial recognition, it's still quicker and easier than having to remember a password.
Why choose an LG gram 17?
Regardless of how much it can support Windows Hello, the LG gram 17 is a fantastic laptop . Remarkably, it weighs just 2.98 lbs (1.35 kg), which is incredibly light, especially for a 17-inch laptop. A product this light usually means that durability is a concern, but not here. The LG gram 17 has gone through MIL-STD-810G military testing, so you can rest assured knowing it's not a weak device.
It also comes with an astounding battery life of about 10-12 hours on average depending on how bright you keep the display and how hard you push the laptop. For a 17-inch laptop, that's an excellent result. The LG gram 17 can perform all work tasks well too, thanks to its Intel 10th Gen i7-1065G7 processor and 16GB of RAM. It's also a great device for visual media in particular thanks to its high-quality 2560x1600 display that sports great color accuracy all around. Finally, equipped with three USB-A 3.1 ports and a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, the LG gram 17 is stellar for connecting peripherals.
Overall, this laptop is superb.
Excellence all-around
Between its extraordinary weightlessness and battery life, solid durability, competent tech specs and the inclusion of Windows Hello fingerprint support, the LG gram 17 is truly one of the best laptops available right now.
