Does LG gram 17 have a touchscreen and ink support?

Best answer: Unfortunately, it does not. However, it's still a fantastic laptop. If you absolutely need a touchscreen device, LG offers an excellent laptop/tablet hybrid alternative. The new LG: LG gram 17 ($1,850 at LG)Touchscreen alternative: LG gram 14 2-in-1 ($1,179 at Amazon)

Why you may still want an LG gram 17

Despite not coming with touchscreen and ink support, the LG gram 17 is still a truly amazing laptop that exceeded our expectations entirely. Remarkably, it weighs just 2.98 lbs (1.35 kg), which is incredible for a 17-inch laptop. Typically, this low weight means reduced durability, but that's not the case here. While it's certainly not the toughest laptop in the world, the LG gram 17 has passed through official MIL-STD-810G testing, meaning that it can take a solid beating before damage occurs.

Another standout feature of the LG gram 17 is its extraordinary battery life — while most laptops in this form factor only last between 4–7 hours, the LG gram 17 boasts an insane 10–12 hours of battery life.

When it comes to hardware specs, this device is fitted with an Intel 10th Gen i7-1065G7 processor and 16GB of RAM, so it can handle whatever work task you throw at it without a problem. Also, the 17-inch display is excellent, with satisfying color accuracy, contrast, and brightness across the board. Rounding out the device's excellence are the triple USB-A 3.1 ports and single USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, allowing you to connect tons of peripheral accessories and devices with ease.

Overall, the LG gram 17 is fantastic, even though you don't get a touchscreen.

Touch screen alternative

If you really need a touchscreen device, then the LG gram 14 2-in-1 is a superb alternative. Like its larger cousin, the LG gram 14 2-in-1 is incredibly lightweight and durable at the same time, and also sports a great battery life, although it's not as good as the LG gram 17's. It also has a similar high-quality display and hardware specs, so it does very well in those areas as well. Additionally, the device comes with a great digital pen in the box for you to use with the touchscreen, which is very convenient so you can get started drawing or taking notes.

At the end of the day, by choosing this laptop/tablet hybrid over the LG gram 17, you trade some power, screen size, and maximum battery life for a touchscreen, a digital pen, and a more compact design. If you're willing to make that trade, then the LG gram 14 2-in-1 is perfect for you.
