Do you even care about limited edition video game consoles? (poll)
Video game companies pump out lots of limited edition hardware, but how do you feel about it?
Earlier this week, Microsoft unveiled a range of Cyberpunk 2077 merchandise, with a limited edition console and a controller at the fore.
The Cyberpunk 2077 console joins various other limited edition Xbox One consoles of this generation, including the Gears of War-styled Xbox One X, and the fun and fruity Minecraft Xbox One S.
Clearly these limited product runs are popular. The Cyberpunk 2077 controller, for example, is selling out rapidly, with only a few outlets still retaining stock.
Given all the hype surrounding the Cyberpunk 2077 console reveal, we were curious what you all think about limited edition console runs. Are you someone who collects various Xbox console styles? Do you simply trade-in your old console to upgrade to a shinier limited edition one? Or do you prefer to keep it basic with the base Xbox or other console variant?
Vote in our poll below, let us know what you think, and sound off in the comments!
A glimpse of Cyberpunk 2077 in your hands.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One controller brings a metallic two-tone spin on Microsoft's signature gamepad. Inspired by Keanu Reeves' in-game persona, Johnny Silverhand, the design adds a rustic, futuristic flair to your gaming setup.
Stay charged up with this matching stand.
Microsoft has partnered up with Controller Gear to deliver an accompanying charging stand, taking inspiration from the industrial paneling of the limited-edition console. It displays your new Xbox controller in style, with a magnetic contact system to lock in place.
The full Cyberpunk 2077 experience.
Microsoft puts a limited-edition spin on its flagship Xbox One, featuring the same cutting-edge 4K visuals, with a new exterior look. The Cyberpunk 2077 serves as an ideal accompaniment to the upcoming RPG, featuring custom laser-etched detailing, glow-in-the-dark graffiti, and LED lighting.
