Disco Elysium website hints something is coming soon
The bizarre RPG was one of the best titles of 2019.
What you need to know
- The website for Disco Elysium has been replaced with the message "soon."
- Developer and publisher ZA/UM previously said that the game would release for Xbox One and PS4 in 2020.
- The RPG is currently only available to play on PC and Mac.
The bizarre CRPG Disco Elysium tasks players with controlling an amnesiac cop trying to uncover a murder mystery and learn plenty of other secrets in the game's world. Now fans have a new puzzle to figure out: what's happening with the game's website.
As of Wednesday, discoelysium.com just shows the word "Soon" and the antlers framing a star symbol that represents communism in the game's setting, the once-great city of Revachol. Developer ZA/UM hasn't provided any more information on what's coming, but last year they announced that the game would be coming to Xbox One and PS4 by the end of 2020. Since that's rapidly approaching, it could be that the console releases are finally coming. The title is one of the most anticipated Xbox releases.
Of course the developer could also be working on some form of DLC or an expansion. The Game Awards are December 10 and the show has promised to reveal more than a dozen new games, so it's possible something new from Disco Elysium will be included there. The game is currently on sale on Steam until December 14, so now is a great time to check it out.
Solve crimes, do drugs
The open-world RPG lets you talk to a huge and strange cast of characters as you navigate the fallen city of Revachol as an amnesiac cop taking questionable advice from different aspects of his personality and his disapproving partner.
