It seems like the Destiny 2 leaks don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Yesterday, datamined files revealed that a new "Shadowkeep" expansion was on its way this fall. However, further digging uncovered even more startling information. According to screenshots first posted on ResetEra, cross-save support may be added to the game with the upcoming expansion.
A few months ago, we reported that Sony has supposedly blocked cross-saves in the past. You couldn't transfer your character from one platform to another. Since Activision and Bungie split, it seems like a lot of these restrictions have been lifted. Hopefully, Destiny 2 cross-saves will allow you to transfer characters from PlayStation 4 to Xbox One, and not just from consoles to PC and vice versa. We should know more in a day because the reveal takes place tomorrow.
Were you hoping for Destiny 2 to support cross-saves? Do you want to switch the platform you're playing on? Let us know. It'll be interesting to see how many gamers use this feature. As with any such leak, take it with a grain of salt until we receive official confirmation.
The Shadowkeep expansion takes players to the Moon. Immediately after the reveal, you should be able to preorder the game on Xbox One and other platforms, even though it comes out many months from now. A physical collector's edition with some enticing collectibles should also be available for preorder at the same time.
Loot and shoot
Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie. The developer is known for stellar games like Marathon and Destiny, but this open-world adventure may be its best experience yet.
