Dell updates the Precision family of laptops, now thinner, lighter and more powerful
Dell has updated the company's line of Precision laptops, as well as significantly refreshing the Precision tower desktop solutions. The new laptops are thinner, lighter and more powerful than previous generations, sporting new processors, and faster memory and storage. There are also options for 4K displays and up to 64GB of RAM. Dell is going all-out with its latest generation of Precision laptops.
The OEM is taking full advantage of Intel's 6th generation of processors (quad-core Core i7 and Core i5), and has even opted to install Intel Xeon processors. Graphics power from both AMD and NVIDIA have been called upon to deliver content on PremierColor 4K Ultra HD displays. Everything is contained inside a new chassis with carbon fibre and aluminum for the lighter and thinner end result.
Here are the Dell Precision laptops affected by the refresh:
- Dell Precision 17 7000 Series (7710)
- Dell Precision 15 7000 Series (7510)
- Dell Precision 15 5000 Series (5510)
- Dell Precision 15 3000 Series (3510)
And for the towers, Dell has improved the components inside the world's smallest small form factor workstation chassis. The new Precision workstations will be made available in the EMEA region later in October.
