Dell unveils incredibly thin Alienware x14, x15 R2, and x17 R2 gaming laptops at CES 2022
Despite their powerful internals, Alienware's latest gaming laptops are incredibly thin.

Dell just expanded its Alienware lineup of gaming laptops with the announcement of the x14, x15 R2, and x17 R2. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series laptop graphics and 12th Gen Intel processors power the new devices. Despite their powerful internals, the laptops are quite thin. The Alienware x14 is 0.57 inches (14.5 mm) thick, and the x17 R2 maxes out at 0.84 inches (21.4 mm).
The Alienware x14, x15 R2, and x17 R2 do not have a firm release date at this point, though they are expected this winter. Pricing starts at $1,799 for the x14, $2,199 for the x15 R2, and $2,299 for the x17 R2.

While all three of the new laptops are thin for their specs, Dell highlights that the Alienware x14 is the "world's thinnest 14-inch gaming laptop." The company also states that the x14 is the first 14-inch laptop that supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and advanced Optimus technologies. A 60W TGP and 25W Dynamic Boost combine to deliver a maximum graphics power of 85W for the Alienware x14.
The entire X-series includes Alienware's HyperEffecient Voltage Regulation technology, which enables high-performance over longer gaming sessions. The x17 supports up to 12-phase regulation, while the x15 supports 8-phase regulation. The x14 is capable of up to 7-phrase regulation.
