  • The company also unveiled the Precision 5470 Anniversary Edition.
  • All three new laptops will be available in Q2 2022, with pricing details coming closer to launch.

Dell just announced the Precision 7770 and Precision 7670. The mobile workstations feature up to 12th Gen Intel Core i9 CPUs and Intel vPro graphics. There are also options available with NVIDIA RTX A5500 graphics with up to 128GB of DDR5 memory. The new laptops launch in Q2 2022, though Dell hasn't shared pricing information at this time.

The Precision 7670 is a 16-inch laptop with two chassis options. People can choose from either a thin or performance chassis for the workstation, depending on their workflow. This is the first time that Dell has offered the same laptop with two different chassis options.

The Precision 7770 is a larger 17-inch laptop. The size difference is the main variation between the Precision 7770 and 7670, though there are some other differences. Notably, the Precision 7770 has one more GPU option than its smaller sibling and features a couple of additional ports (MicroSIM slot and SD card reader). Both laptops feature Dell Optimizer.

The new Precision workstations have a version of DDR5 memory known as a Compressed Attached Memory Module (CAMM). Dell explains that CAMM allows the company to create laptops with thinner bodies without sacrificing performance. Traditional SODIMM memory will be available on the Precision laptops in the future.

Both the Precision 7770 and 7670 also feature device tampering detection, support contact and contactless smart readers, and FIPS-certified fingerprint readers and IR cameras.

Dell also announced the Precision 5470 25th Anniversary Edition today. The laptop appears to be the same as the previously announced Precision 5470, apart from the fact that the anniversary edition will be available with a cobalt (blue) finish and etchings to signify the anniversary.

Alongside its new Precision laptops, Dell announced the Latitude 9330 today.
