Death Stranding PC release date pushed back to July 14 due to temporary closure of Kojima Productions
You'll be waiting a little over a month extra to play Death Stranding on PC.
What you need to know
- Death Stranding was first available on PlayStation 4 on November 8, 2019.
- The PC version was originally scheduled to release on June 2, 2020.
- It's been pushed back as a result of Kojima Productions switching to work-from-home.
- It's now scheduled to release on July 14, 2020.
While Death Stranding was previously scheduled to hit PC on June 2, PC players will need to wait a short while longer to check out Kojima's latest game. Kojima Productions temporarily closed earlier this year to switch into a work-from-home environment, which has slightly impacted the PC release date for Death Stranding. It's now scheduled to be available on July 14, 2020.
Following the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we have had to delay the PC launch of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, to allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place. Death Stranding first released on PlayStation 4 back in November 2019 and the PC version is coming with some extra graphical tweaks, including widescreen support and the ability to go for higher frame rates, if your hardware supports it. There's also some PC-only cosmetics, like a Headcrab from the Half-Life series.
Death Stranding takes place in a post-apocalyptic America, where porters have to carry supplies to cut-off groups of survivors. As Sam Porter Bridges, you'll work to reconnect society.
Finally available on PC
Death Stranding can be incredibly confusing, but at its core it's about bringing people together and uniting a broken America. We're stronger together than we are apart. It also happens to be a game where you can make ammunition out of your own pee, so take that for what you will.
