Darksiders III to get combat arena and new areas after launch
Darksiders III should grow over time.
Darksiders III was announced many months ago, and since then we haven't heard much about the title. All we knew was that it would focus on a new protagonist and continue the story of the existing games. On a technical front, THQ Nordic made it clear that Darksiders III would support Xbox One X.
Today, the publisher revealed that the game would get some exciting new content after launch. While there's a lot more coming, "The Crucible" and "Keepers of the Void" should keep players busy.
- The Crucible: Fury's presence has been requested by a strange entity wishing to test her skills in battle. Here Fury will fight wave after wave of enemies, competing for a chance to unlock new rewards.
- Keepers of the Void: On a quest from Vulgrim, Fury must travel into the "Serpent Holes" to remove an ancient threat that resides there. The Serpent Holes are riddled with new puzzles and enemies eager to test Fury's abilities.
In Darksiders III, players return to a post-apocalyptic Earth. The game is a hack-and-slash adventure where you assume the role of Fury in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. Fury is by far the most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. She has to succeed where many have failed when it comes to bringing balance to the forces that now ravage Earth.
There are a few versions available for preorder. The Deluxe and "Blades & Whip" editions give players 24-hour early access to the game.
