Cuphead finally hits Xbox One and Windows 10 on September 29
The highly anticipated run-and-gun, Cuphead, has finally got a firm release date for Xbox One and Windows 10. After numerous delays since its reveal back in 2013, the game is now on track for release on September 29, 2017.
Cuphead has had a troubled release, to say the least, with both Cuphead's mechanics and scope having evolved over time. The side-scroller has gained a fair amount of traction over the years and has since become a major part of Microsoft's ID@Xbox lineup. With a hand-drawn art style inspired by 1920's cartoons, each of the game's evolutions has only been held back by this approach.
When Cuphead releases, the game will support Xbox Play Anywhere, enabling cross-platform purchases and saves between Xbox One and Windows 10. However, due to the nature of its art style, it appears the game won't be getting enhanced for Xbox One X.
